lovely purple

This polish needs 2 or 3 layers applied for the color to appear as the bottle. but once you achieve that perfect purple it looks amazing. The polish does not chip easily, it lasted 5 days on my nails before i noticed a small chip. easily another of my favorites from lippmann

Quite chalky, Beautiful colour

Same consistency as 'Dark Side of the Moon', I didn't quite like it as it was quite chalky. The purple though, its a beautiful colour, and my mum who's a fan of all things purple, loved this. Will not repurchase though.

deborah lippmann call me irresponsible

Deborah Lippmann's Call Me Irresponsible is a jelly polish, and is more warm toned than I thought it would be. Probably not the best if you're looking for a solid purple polish. Formula is a bit thicker than average. Might be good to use a base colour first.

Nice Packaging but

I love the packaging so much, but so sadly this nail polish isn't so pigmented. After 2 coats it's still quite sheer. Maybe white base needed to make the color pop. since 3-4 coats take a long time to dry.

Jelly polish good for glitter sandwiches

Deborah Lippmann Call Me Irresponsible is more a jelly polish than a creme, and is ideal for glitter sandwiches, which I bought this polish for actually. Note that the colour on nails looks a tad more reddish purple than blue-purple like the bottle looks, but under flash or direct artificial light, the blue undertones become more noticeable. Look at swatches online before you decide to buy. Also, with jelly polishes, it helps to work with either thicker coats or layer many thin coats. Use more of a dabbing motion than painting with thick coats as going over one spot too many times causes bald spots and unevenness.  If you use the right technique, the polish goes on beautifully and you can create countless of combinations with various glitter toppers. Don't attempt full opacity for the base layers as your polish would end up being overly thick after the various layers for a glitter sandwich. The polish is sheer enough for a final thin layer on top to still show the glitter beneath clearly but sans the metallic look of some glitters. Impressive!
